Uprading an already great reel, Orvis took the iconic Hydros Reel and removed unnecessary materials to reduce weight while also stiffening the narrow spool to help minimize line stacking. It features precision-machined, anodized 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum for superb durability and longevity, and offers maximum line pick-up, optimum drag consistency, and solid fish-stopping power. This reel is available in multiple sizes: the larger the reel, the larger the drag surface and the more resistance to handle larger fish. Using stacked carbon washers, controlled by a positive click adjustment system, the Hydros can be fine-tuned to handle a variety of fish with sustained and infinitely durable drag pressure.
